Disaster Recovery Procedures
This is a one day workshop is for those who already have a written disaster preparedness plan and need training in salvage and recovery procedures should a disaster strike.
The day will involve practical demonstrations and hands-on work for all participants in salvage procedures for most collection materials.

- Setting up a recovery area
- Preparing and using Action Sheets
- When to contact a conservator
- Recovery of water-damaged objects
- Recovery of fire-damaged objects
- Recovery of structurally damaged objects
- Preparing objects for freezing
- Preparing objects for travel/storage
- Documentation of recovery
